Programme Coordinator (m/f/nb)
Place of Work: Vienna, Austria, with some international travel required
Duration: Full-time (40hrs/week), permanent
Salary: EUR 37,000 – 42,000, dependent on experience
Starting date: As soon as possible
Please note this position requires you to have a work permit for the EU.
Role profile:
Within the strategic programmes team, you will build the programmatic track record of Light for the World in a thematic area, Country Office and/or with a donor. You will be connected to new developments in programme areas relevant to your portfolio and work closely with colleagues located in our African offices and around the world.
Your role:
· Liaising with donors to solve compliance issues with adequate problem-solving skills and adequate corrective actions in accordance with donor expectations.
· Gathering, monitoring and communicating on donor rules and regulations (from donors’ website, NGO networks, emails and meetings) including during grant proposal kick-off meetings (narrative and budget).
· Analysing financial data and linking it to narrative outputs; proposing mitigation measures as relevant.
· Managing learning through effective documentation, sharing within the programme department, with donors and with the external world as relevant.
· Facilitation of multi-country/ multi-partner steering and coordination meetings.
· Providing structure and processes for the management of the grant.
· Leading steering groups to ensure programme implementation is done according to commitments and in appropriate quality and identify necessary corrective measures.
Your profile:
· Established professional experience in programme and/or project management, ideally within an INGO environment.
· Ability to promote effective programmatic contract implementation, including strong ability to analyse financial data and link it to narrative outputs and proactively propose mitigation measures as relevant.
· Good coordination skills to contribute and lead on the development of proposals to institutional donors or foundations.
· Proven ability to maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.
· Hands-on approach, proactive personality, strongly motivated, solution oriented, excellent organizational skills
· Good knowledge of Excel and accurate working with financial figures.
· Interest in development cooperation and Light for the World‘s mandate area.
· Excellent English skills, ideally German; Other languages, e.g. French or Portuguese are an asset.
