Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Director, Coordinating Office for the Mediterranean and Chief of Mission for Italy and Malta, the direct supervision of the Integration Specialist and Coordinator and in close coordination with the Senior Public Information Associate, the incumbent will assist in the implementation of activities and in carrying out the communication activities envisaged within inclusion programmes.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Support the communication activities carried out by IOM Rome’s Communication Unit, with a focus on the further implementation, development and updating of the italy.iom.int website, the implementation of some IOM Rome’s Social Media tools or platforms, such as Linkedin and YouTube, and on other tasks as requested;
- Support the implementation of the Communication and Visibility plan;
- Support the dissemination of the Includ EU international video on pilot integration activities realized in target countries: Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia and Spain;
- Assist with the preparation of all relevant administrative and financial documentation related to the communication component of the projects (procurement/payment/ reimbursement/travel);
- Other duties and tasks as may be required by the Supervisor for the implementation of the project, as necessary.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
• High School Diploma with 4 years of professional experience on communication and social media strategy in the field of migration and integration;
• University Degree in Political, Social Science, International Relations, Communication with 2 years of professional experience.
Experience:
• Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.);
• Experience in the implementation of social media campaigns and communication/social networks strategy on migration and integration.
Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of the social networks and online communication tools;
• Knowledge of European donor programming for migration and integration of Third Country Nationals;
• Knowledge of financial/administrative rules and regulations within European donor programming.
Languages:
• Fluency in Italian and English (oral and written) is required;
• Knowledge of French is considered as an asset.
