Project Coordinator At Amnesty International

JOB PURPOSE

As the Project Coordinator you will ensure overall coordination of the programme in close collaboration with all Amnesty International’s partners entities and the donor to ensure the implementation of activities in line with the programme budget and timeline and facilitate content gathering in collaboration with AIUK when necessary.

ABOUT YOU

You will have significant experience of working for an international NGO with knowledge and experience of women’s and girls’ rights, gender-based violence, FGM and/or child marriage be fluent in written and verbal French and English.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the timely submission of reports by the AI Sections and review them thoroughly.
  • Follow up and coordinate the consolidation and submission of quarterly and annual narrative and financial reports to Amnesty International UK.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the documentation and capitalisation of resources and data generated by the programme.
  • Ensure compliance with Amnesty International’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in the successful coordination of multi-year and multi-country programmes with high-value budgets, preferably focused on gender-based violence, FGM and/or child marriage.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. human rights, social sciences, gender studies, development studies…)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and French.
  • Strong financial management skills; proven capacity in budgeting monitoring and financial reporting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the three countries of intervention; knowledge of their contexts desirable.
