CORUS international is hiring 5 Project coordinators in Yemen , based in 3 cities , (Marib, Taiz, and Aden)
The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage the implementation of project activities in the designated geographic area (either Marib, Taiz or Aden) and ensure programming meets LWR standards and adheres to project plans, particularly work plan, spending and monitoring and evaluation plans. The Coordinator also will ensure that partners follow international technical standards and guidelines, including donor regulations and compliance, to deliver high-quality programming in a timely manner. The Coordinator will be responsible to share security and needs assessment updates. The Project Coordinator also plays a key role in liaising with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, including UN Clusters. S/he will be primarily responsible for tracking indicator and activity progress and drafting inputs and activity summaries for progress reporting.
S/he will also participate in coordination meetings externally as requested and represent the organization at project events and activities. S/he will also provide logistics and administrative support for project and office functions when needed.
Project Management:
• Ensure project implementation follows LWR policies and stipulations as outlined in the cooperation agreement, as well as donor and clusters’ regulations and international humanitarian standards.
• Lead project-related compliance to LWR code of conduct and related policies, including whistleblower, accountability to affected populations, etc.
• Ensure partner narrative and financial reports are completed and submitted to the LWR-Yemen office on a timely basis. • Draft monthly & quarterly report in Arabic to local authorities.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss progress, the rollout of new activities, and any other technical guidance or support needs.
• Support the Program Manager/Country Director in the development and production of new concepts and proposals.
• Ensure monthly reporting of partners activities to LWR, donors, line managers and any other bodies.
• Attend and contribute to internal meetings, as appropriate (e.g., BVA Review Meetings, Grant Kick-off and Close-out Meetings) to share outcomes, identify gaps and lessons learned from other peer organizations.
• Maintain an overview of the in-country regional context with a view to the strategic development of new projects both in current sites and in surrounding regions.
• Lead on conducting baseline and endline surveys, needs assessment and rapid assessments in area of operations.
Representation
• Under the guidance of the Program Manager, identify and develop partnerships, relationships with people, organizations and institutions that can enrich country programs and help achieve LWR’s strategy.
• Coordinate the exchange of correspondence between LWR and project partners and potential partners; send all relevant correspondence from the Country office to partners; send relevant communications to Country office/ headquarters.
• Enhance LWR’s visibility in the country by actively developing and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries, community leaders, local and national government officials, partner NGOs, donors, UN agencies and other NGOs) and represent LWR at relevant meetings (e.g. state and local government, sector-coordination and security).
• Attend coordination meetings (clusters, working groups, and other coordinating bodies) for program- and office-relevant subjects in area of operations.
