IRW is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Project Coordinator for Gender Justice Declaration’ to join its dynamic External Relations & Advocacy Division. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Advocacy department as we scale up our advocacy work on gender justice through the Gender Justice Declaration. The Islamic Gender Justice Declaration (IGJD) sets out our commitment to achieving gender justice for all through a combination of action for change in the communities we serve and advocacy at local, national and international levels.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • A graduate degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience of leading high-quality programme coordination and management process(es)
  • Substantial experience project coordination
  • Experience in managing/ coordinating multi-stakeholder programmes
  • Experience of writing and of communicating learning effectively, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of current sector trends in relation to gender
  • Experience and working knowledge of issues in humanitarian settings
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, along with solid experience of working with email, spreadsheets and presentation creation software
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad (up to 25%)
