Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first Italian healthcare-focused NGO officially recognized by Italian authorities.
Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Health/Social-related fields
  • Excellent knowledge of the Portuguese language
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Proven experience in managing international cooperation projects (at least 3 years); experience in managing health projects will be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in project management in fragile countries and/or low resource settings

KEY DUTIES
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing a project focused on Diabetes and Hypertension.
The specific tasks are:

  • ensure the good management of the project’s team and resources (financial and material)
  • provide supervision and constant support to the various project sites
  • develop an annual and quarterly work plan
  • prepare the procurement plan
  • supervise the correct implementation of project activities
  • maintain relationships with local health authorities at all levels and with the NGOs partner in the project
  • plan and implement planned communication activities
  • ensure the availability of project data and the timely elaboration of reports required by the donors
