Project Officer, Workforce Nutrition At Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition

About the Role

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Project Officer, Workforce Nutrition to support the coordination of Workforce Nutrition Alliance program in Indonesia. This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia and will be offered on a fixed term contract until September 2025, subject to the availability of funding.

Reporting to the Head of Program, the Project Officer will be involved in core project activities and provide a range of support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans. You will also ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and meeting quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with GAINs Project Management Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing, collating and compiling data and information to identify emerging issues, tracking and reporting on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  • Supporting the development of appropriate communication materials, technical documents, advocacy briefs and related materials to drive key project activities
  • Leading the development and roll-out of a self-assessment scorecard dashboard and identifying opportunities for improvement of the scorecard and coordinating this with the technical consultant
  • Serving as a focal point for private sector partners who face any challenges with filling out the scorecard for their setting and supporting private sector partners that are interested in improving their workforce nutrition monitoring
  • Overseeing the monitoring for the Workforce Nutrition Alliance and developing relevant digital tools and resources to further progress this. Ensuring alignment with and integrating insights of the Consumer Goods Forum, the co-lead of the Workforce Nutrition Alliance
  • Conducting regular field monitoring visits of the activities conducted under the project by partners. Following up with partners to ensure timely submission of reports and preparing timely monitoring reports with findings and recommendations
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with civil society, INGOs, government entities, private sector and other organisations
  • Overseeing all administrative aspects of the procurement process including budgeting, procurement supporting with the drafting of agreements and contracts and logistical arrangements within ethical and procurement standards and guidelines
  • Working closely with the project accountant, monitoring the receipt of deliverables and payments to partners, as well as ensuring all project related expenses are properly coded to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting
  • Contributing to the fundraising activities of GAIN’s Workforce Nutrition programme and the Workforce Nutrition Alliance

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in nutrition, sustainability programmes, and / or relevant social sector projects, including financial administration. You will have experience in international project management and sound experience in supporting project implementation.

Candidates with experience in delivering a wide range of project management and support services, within tight deadlines, limited resources, while managing competing priorities and working in multi-cultural or international environment would be desirable.

The postholder will have strong writing skills, with analytical capacity and ability to synthesize project outputs and relevant findings for the preparation of quality project reports. You will possess good communication and influencing skills and fluent in written and spoken English. In addition, you should be highly flexible and be able and willing to travel.

A Master degree or equivalent recognized international accreditation in a project management and/or bachelor’s degree in business management, international relations, sustainable development, economics, development studies, Agribusiness and Supply Chain, or Logistic and Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, Health or related field. You will be computer literate with good Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems.

About our Offer

The starting salary on offer for this role is from IDR 199,363,138 – IDR 228,326,319 per annum (gross salary), depending on experience.
