OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Health Project Manager, the project supervisor contributes to the implementation of the projects to S/he is assigned to. S/he contributes to ensuring the optimal quality and the impact of the project implemented by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms.

  • Line manager+1: Hub Manager

  • Coordination with: All units and departments

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Mission 1: Management

  • Be part of the operational management of team; structure the work around identified processes, steer performance, and facilitate the resolution of problems.
  • Be part of the development of the team; creating the conditions for their commitment, professionalism, and attachment to HI. Ensure compliance with the code of conduct and institutional policies, the mindset, and expected individual and collective behavior.

Mission 2: Operational implementation:

Responsibility 1: Contribute to project planning and implementation in line with the existing frameworks

  • Ensure that activities and the associated resources delegated by PM are planned, and implement in the action plan.
  • Ensure that activities delegated by PM are implemented in line with the project proposal and the allocated budget.
  • Contribute to the projects reporting this includes internal and donor reports.
  • Contribute to the Preparation and management partnerships with the project implementation partners.
  • Guarantee the proper archiving of information
  • Contribute in drafting of the partnership contract and the partnership review when asked by the project manager

Responsibility 2: Contribute to ensuring project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning:

  • Contribute to ensuring project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes.
  • Contribute to ensuring that the project is accountable to the local stakeholders.
  • Contribute to ensuring project learning, taking into account lessons learned from similar previous projects, following the recommendations made throughout the project (from evaluations, support missions, and capitalizing on the acquired knowledge.

Responsibility 3: Project data management

  • By delegation, ensure that the appropriate data collection and management tools are in place on the project, in line with global standards.
  • By delegation, ensure that data related to the project is collected and compiled in the project database.
  • By delegation, carry out regular checks and makes any necessary corrections to the activity database.

Responsibility 4: Coordinate the teams involved in the project

  • Contribute to ensuring that the operation team and support teams (shared and technical services, in particular) work well together in order to facilitate the implementation of the project in the country.

Responsibility 5: External project communication

  • Contribute to HI’s external influence by taking part in clusters and working groups meeting when required.
  • Communicate about the project to partners, authorities, and stakeholders when relevant.

Mission 3: Emergency Preparedness and Response

  • Contribute to the emergency preparedness actions in his/her department and, in the event of an emergency, reorganize the priorities of Inclusion and Risk education teams according to the humanitarian priorities, in order to ensure a quick and efficient response by HI.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience:

  • First University degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Two years of professional experience
  • INGO experience is a must
  • Experience in remote management

Management skills :

  • Being capable of helping team members to progress: developing his/her staff‘s ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowing how to position oneself so things can move forward.
  • Knowing how to simplify and prioritize.

Language:

  • Fluency in Arabic & English language (oral and written) , Turkish is an asset

JOB CONDITIONS

  • Remuneration: Based on HI Salary Scale
  • Expected Starting date: 15th of June, 2023
  • Duration/ Type of contract: 6 months (renewable) – based on a timeline project
  • Benefits: Transportation and Health Insurance
  • Mobility: Amman with possible travels in the region
