OBJECTIVE: Support the implementation of health communication strategies through Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) approaches to increase knowledge and influence the attitudes of community members to change health-seeking practices.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the implementation of activities and identify indicators to monitor the activities, results and achievements of the implementation of health program activities.
- Provide support to the Medical, Program and MERA teams, for the organization and execution of evaluations and investigations on the impact of health activities and identifying and reporting on the limitations, difficulties or strengths of the health activities strategy
- Provide support in the selection and development of quality pedagogical communication strategies for the community.
- Plan information campaigns, including goals, objectives, methods and objectives to increase awareness among the target population
- Inform, according to protocols, community members and identified risk groups about health-related topics.
- Organize health advocacy sessions for IMC staff in Bolivar state.
- Organize, train and supervise the Medical team regarding the planning and organization of their work, support, evaluate and train staff, compile reports and report the activities of each health worker and regularly visit the communities under their responsibility.
- Compile and report to the Medical team any information related to the health situation of the population and patients.
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma, community worker certificate or bachelor’s degree in Education or any other qualification related to social sciences
- 6 months of experience in activities related to health or community promotion
- Excellent verbal communication skills (required)
- Residence in Maripa, Edo. Bolívar (or availability to relocate). The organization does not cover lodging or location expenses.
