Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

During the last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH, and Camp Management

Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of PSS workers and case managers while providing individual or group psychological support such as counseling and support groups to the beneficiaries.
  • Diagnose and select the specific cases that need case management and refer them to the case manager with direct supervision and follow-up of these cases.
  • Refer some special cases to a higher level of psychological management such as specialized psychological or medical services.
  • Closely monitor and document the psycho-social recovery of cases referred by the case workers.
  • Based on the need, provide debriefing and self-care support to PSS staff.
  • Produce and maintain accurate records of the beneficiaries.
  • Write technical reports on specific cases identified during the individual psycho-social support sessions.
  • Case files and technical reports must be archived in a locked and secure location; access to them should be restricted.
  • Set up a monitoring system to evaluate the effectiveness and the impact of the planned individual and group psycho-social support intervention programs on the beneficiaries., and authorized protection program staff. Write monthly reports to the project manager.
  • Attend all program-related meetings.
  • Raise the capacity of the PSS team and provide technical trainings
  • Complying with IDA Code of Conduct and PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) Policies

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Psychology, Sociology, or any other related field
  • At least 3 years of work experience
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Attendance of pre-training on psycho-social support, case management, and PFA
  • The capacity to deliver trainings and workshops
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly
