ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

UOSSM USA’s vision is to alleviate the suffering and improve the healthcare, mental health, and well-being of people affected by crisis. To achieve that vision, UOSSM USA provides, in collaboration with its strategic partners, impartial lifesaving support, medical relief and access to quality healthcare and mental health services to people affected by crisis through its impactful and cost-effective programs. UOSSM USA currently supports Mental Health and Protection (MH&P) services in Turkey and is looking forward to expanding its impact in Health and MH&P to the underserved people in Jordan, Syrian refugees, and other refugees affected by crisis.

Job Description:

He/ She is responsible for implementing activities related to child protection and psychosocial support for the target groups.

Tasks:

  • Implementation of child protection activities approved in the program.
  • Developing appropriate protection activities for beneficiaries in coordination with the official in the protection department at the center.
  • Identify child beneficiaries who need referral to partners, and provide the Child Protection Case Manager for follow up.
  • Facilitate activities according to the age group, including psychosocial support activities.
  • Preparing reports periodically and according to specific dates as requested.
  • Implementing community awareness raising activities.
  • Implementation of community mobilization activities.
  • Any other tasks assigned to you by the administrator.
  • Implementing parental care activities in coordination with the direct supervisor.

Required certificates and experience:

– A university degree in psychology, educational counseling, or any related field

Responsibility:

  • Ensure the maintenance of high confidentiality of information, and up-to-date documentation, including processes and data flows.
  • Experience working with children

  • Flexibility, cooperation and high team spirit with your supervisor and key staff.

Acting:

  • Representing UOSSM USA in a positive and professional manner to contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, in particular by applying the Code of Conduct, Ethics, Values ​​and Principles espoused by UOSSM

Protection:

– Ensure application and compliance with security protocols and policies.

Required skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of human rights, protection standards, and gender-based violence issues.
  • Flexibility, work under pressure and manage time according to priority and deadline.
  • Self-development skills.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of children’s rights.
  • Good knowledge of English is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation towards community development.
  • High respect and commitment to the work policies of USSOM/USA organization.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs and the use of the Internet.
  • Teamwork.

    10 Days maximum / Month
