Internship Description: We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team and assist with regional business development initiatives. Interns will gain hands-on experience in project management, research, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to meaningful projects that impact our community.
Title: Regional Business Development and Partnerships Intern (Jordan based)
Duration: 3-month internship.

Pathfinder International is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering social and humanitarian development in the MENA region. Our mission is to empower communities, particularly focusing on women’s economic and social empowerment, youth inclusion and employment, capacity-building of local non-governmental actors (LNAs), and sustainability initiatives addressing climate change and green programming. As the MENA Region Business Development and Partnerships Intern, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and partnership initiatives across the region. Your primary focus will be to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including NGOs, local organizations, government bodies, and potential donors within the private sector. You will play a pivotal role in identifying grant and project opportunities, contributing to the development of concept notes, and ensuring the sustainable expansion of Pathfinder International’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with NGOs, local organizations, government entities, and private sector partners to support Pathfinder’s mission and objectives.
- Grant and Project Opportunity Identification: Conduct research to identify relevant grant and project opportunities aligned with Pathfinder MENA’s focus areas. Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling concept notes and proposals.
- Strategic Growth Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to expand Pathfinder’s presence and reputation across the MENA region, focusing on the empowerment of vulnerable communities, youth inclusion, LNAs capacity-building, and climate change initiatives.
- Networking and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential donors, partners, and government representatives.
- Advocacy and Thought Leadership: Position Pathfinder MENA as a thought leader in social and humanitarian development within the MENA region. Advocate for policies and initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of social and humanitarian issues, throughout the Middle East.
- Writing skills and the ability to eloquently produce concept notes and project proposals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including government officials, corporate partners, and civil society organizations.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team, with a commitment to Pathfinder International’s values and mission.
