This position can be based in: Preferably based in Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Perú, or Panamá. Other LAC countries will be considered.

Regional Child Rights Governance (CRG) Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean

ROLE PURPOSE

The Regional Child Rights Governance (CRG) Technical Advisor will use their in-depth contextual understanding, technical expertise, and relationship building skills to provide a critical link between the Save the Children’s global and country level technical work, strengthening our technical offer at the regional level. The role will contribute to building capacity and fostering networks across country office and partners technical experts. The role supports regional advocacy and influencing and contributes to strategic partnerships for new business development.

To be successful, you will bring/have:

  • At least 7 years’ experience of working internationally in the design and implementation of programmes on child rights governance, human rights (preferably children’s rights), social accountability or public investment.
  • Understanding of the Child Rights and the Governance sectors in LAC region
  • Familiar with applying rights-based approaches into programme design and implementation. Also, with integration of human rights and governance as foundational components education, health & nutrition, child protection or social protection, programmes.
  • Experience of the regional context, capacity, and policy analysis, and influencing and advocacy at regional/international level to hold duty bearers to account to realise children’s rights.
  • Demonstrated program design, monitoring, and evaluation skills, including designing pathways to sustainable impact at scale.
  • Fluent in English and high level of English writing skills.
  • Working effectively within culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Skilled at networking, representation and partnership development in order promote learning, strengthen civil society, and mobilise resources.
  • Significant experience in training, capacity building, and mentoring.
