Regional Digital Fundraising Contractor, Bangkok, part-time At UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Title of project: Digital fundraising regional support, PSP Asia

Purpose of project: To provide support to PSP country offices and national partners within the PSP Asia Pacific network on digital fundraising (acquisition and retention), as well as support on the coordination of digital campaigns and annual planning and reporting.

The individual will work with local offices to provide as needed tactical and strategic support on their digital fundraising programs and channels including providing guidance with paid media, email, e-commerce, and digital analytics.

The individual will be required to support offices with optimising their digital fundraising performance including with reviewing reports and analysis and providing recommendations and support for optimisations.

The individual will play a part in coordinating and supporting digital campaign launches across the region such as the winter campaign and Ramadan campaign.

The colleague will also support with capacity building initiatives related to digital fundraising such as compiling and disseminating best practice fundraising content and assets from the fundraising offices and facilitating webinars on digital fundraising.

The colleague will also support PSP Asia regional colleagues with tasks related to management of the Asia Digital Hub (remote-digital fundraising in specific countries), such as working with the digital media agency to launch campaigns, reporting on Asia Hub performance, and supporting on annual planning and reporting protocols.

Finally, the colleague will support with specific tasks related to the work of the PSP Asia Campaigns, Communications and Digital team including supporting on the development of digital assets for fundraising packs.

Subject to experience and location, part-time NOB, monthly payments (based on deliverables and

receipt of days worked).

Payment schedule: Upon receipt of invoice, detailing days worked, payment will be made monthly.

Leave entitlements: Part-time Contractor 60% (at least one month contract):

1.5 annual leave day and 1 sick leave day per month

UNHCR’s PSP Asia Pacific’s Communications, Campaigns and Digital (CCD) team supports across the service’s different pillars of fundraising and partnerships to generate income and resources for UNHCR, including via digital fundraising. Digital fundraising is a critical growth channel for PSP Asia Pacific’s fundraising and supporting our country offices and national partners in this area is crucial to our future growth.

Overall Purpose and Scope of Assignment:

PSP Asia requires this consultant to support PSP fundraising offices and the Asia Hub with activities related to improving and optimising digital fundraising efforts. The TOR for this contractor might include but will not be limited to:

– Providing advice and hands on support to offices on their digital fundraising activities across paid media channels, email, website, e-commerce, and payments, based on reviewing digital analytics and reports.

– Compiling analysis and best practice case studies on digital performance across markets for specific campaigns and fundraising programs.

– Coordinating digital fundraising assets sharing and dissemination for campaigns, including working closely with offices in the region, PSP HQ colleagues and other regions as needed.

– Support on annual planning and budgeting processes for the PSP Asia Hub fundraising program.

– Supporting the Asia Hub program of work effectively launch, monitor and optimise remote-digital fundraising campaigns, including campaign set up and liaison with the agency.

– Supporting knowledge management and capacity building initiatives for digital fundraising including supporting with webinars as well as monitoring and managing the PSP Asia digital community etc.

– Supporting the CCD team with the development of fit-for-purpose fundraising assets including providing support and insights on digital content such as briefing on relevant edits for assets, writing digital fundraising copy etc.

Required level, qualifications and work experience:

Qualification and experience required (degree required, years of work experience, field of expertise, language required):

Education:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

– Minimum 3 years for Bachelor Degree and minimum 2 years for Master degree, relevant professional work experience, working on digital fundraising or digital marketing.

– Demonstrated experience working on digital marketing programs including experience working with key channels such as paid media and email marketing is required.

– Hands on experience with managing paid media campaigns and working within email marketing platforms and digital analytics platforms.

– Experience working in a multinational/multicultural context with offices and teams in different locations.

– Strong understanding of all digital fundraising channels and platforms is required.

– Demonstrated experience managing an end-to-end digital fundraising program or performance-based digital marketing program is required.

– Experience with annual planning and budgeting processes for a digital program is required.

– Ability to review and provide analysis on digital marketing reports and work with comfort with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics as well as CRMs, email marketing platforms etc.

– Experience working with a UN agency on digital fundraising is highly desirable.

Additional skills:

– Fluency in English with working knowledge of at least one other UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is a strong asset.

– Excellent organisational, time management and multitasking skills.

– Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

– Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

– Proficiency in relevant IT tools and applications (MS Office Suite etc).
