Here’s where you come in:

As a Regional Director, Resource Development & Partnerships, you will support an integrated and robust regional resource development team in the Field Office (FOs) in alignment with our global strategy of ensuring sustainable, quality and diverse funding for countries in the Southern Africa Region (SAR). This will incorporate a strong emphasis on grants and contracts, corporate marketing, national resource development, and alterative/emerging streams of funding in partnership with FOs in the region, the Global Centre (GC) Grants Acquisition and Management Team, GC Technical Excellence Teams, and Support Offices. You will lead the co-creation of a regional acquisition strategy that focuses in on leveraging World Vision (WV’s) national, regional and global strengths. You will set strategic targets on resource acquisition, program development, and new partnerships/consortiums.

Requirements include:

  • University degree related to Development Studies/Business Management/Statistics/Research or International Relations required.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Resource Development & Acquisition with major donors, corporates, foundations
  • Minimum 5 years’ in a senior managerial role with direct reporting lines
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the humanitarian and development sector, with experience living and working in the Southern Africa region.
  • Previous experience with successful multi-million-dollar program management and oversight (USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, GAC, DFAT, UN agencies)
  • Proven experience in engaging high level donors to influence funding priorities, strategy and policy; engaging with governmental, NGO and other senior leaders on development issues and maintain effective partnerships; representing an organization to program partners in a highly professional manner.
