FUNCTION OF DEPARTMENT

  • Supporting a diverse range of clients to deliver tailored World Class Inspection services.
  • Delivering profitable business results and building on our reputation as a ‘go to’ global provider for Quality Assurance and Inspection services.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for delivery of a range of inspection services including vendor appraisal, witness testing and pre-shipment and sampling / post shipment inspection services.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

  • To grow CA Inspections business globally across multiple sectors including utilities infrastructure, industrial, consumer product/commodities and international development sectors.
  • Contribute to establishing CA Inspections as a respected provider of quality assurance inspection services across the world.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

Sales Growth

  • Develop and execute international business development campaigns and where possible support and work with CA Inspections international offices to identify and develop leads from new and existing clients.
  • Support opportunity tracking and progress monitoring, ensuring timeline and informed decision-making throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Support the identification and assessment of opportunities within the Inspection market in Asia aligned to CA Inspections capabilities and strategic goals.
  • Support the development of a comprehensive understanding across Asia of the industry landscape, market trends, and potential partners to enhance sales and inform strategic positioning.
  • Cultivate and maintain a network of industry stakeholders, partners and clients to maximise exposure and enhance sales.
  • Identify and track relevant upcoming potential opportunities across Asia through advance intelligence gathering, partner relationships and portals.
  • Own Sales targets for CA Inspections growth across the Asia region.
  • Within the above parameters act as a conduit to support the cross-selling of wider Crown Agents services to a targeted CA Inspections client base.

Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with CA Inspections team members and where appropriate cross-functional teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, fully compliant, aligned with client needs, competitive in the market, and effectively communicate the CA Inspections and where appropriate the wider Crown Agents value proposition.

Capacity Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the country managers sales team members in all CA Inspections international offices to support them in achieving business goals in the Asia region.
  • Support with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of training for wider Crown Agents staff, both in the UK and across all international offices, to build business development capability, specifically in relation to the winning of quality assurance and inspection based new business in the Asia region.

Marketing

  • Support the continued development and maintenance of the CA Inspections value proposition to clients in the Asia region.
  • Ensure CA Inspections has relevant marketing and communications materials to highlight capabilities.
  • Support the Communications Team for the development of strategy, design, and execution of effective marketing and communication plans that enhance CA Inspections positioning and growth in the Asia region across multiple sectors including, utilities infrastructure, industrial, consumer product/commodities and international development sectors.

Any other duties as appropriate to the position, as requested.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MSc or BSc in Science/Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (Desirable)
  • Professional sales training/qualification (Desirable)

Experience

  • Demonstrable track record working within a business development / sales role within an inspection services business required but may also consider experience in test / certification services business experience. (Essential)
  • Experienced in the technical/operational delivery of inspection on mechanical/electrical engineering, commodities, health or consumer products (Desirable)
