Position: Regional Sponsorship Partner
Duty station: Countries in Asia with Plan’s operational presence.**
Job Purpose:
Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan aims to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized with high quality programs that deliver long lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others and operating effectively
The objective of the Regional Sponsorship Partner is to provide support and guidance to Country Sponsorship staff members and Senior Regional Management, for decision making so that
· Child sponsorship can be maintained to continue being an important source of funding for the Organization;
· To contribute to the increase of the Countries’ income by encouraging and supporting innovation through the introduction of relevant alternative sponsorship products
· To promote the achievement of country and regional goals in sponsorship caseload management, building relationships (managing timeliness and quality sponsorship products),
· To establish an effective relationship with National Offices in the areas related to sponsorship
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specialist role to Countries:
· Support countries in the region by providing information and guidance in the preparation of Country Strategies so that documents are aligned with corporate sponsorship policies.
· Support countries in the development and implementation of process control following sponsorship compliance objectives that contribute to transparent and timely management of the area along with appropriate accountability.
· Review all countries monthly and quarterly reports and provide feedback where need be, and regularly to the SRDs and in the E-ROMT quarterly feedback.
· Analyse information regarding sponsorship processes of countries in the region to ensure compliance with the minimum standards, business rules and the use and data entry of corporate systems such as caseload, growth, reduction, production and communications to support the development of the area.
· Support countries in phase in and phase out of communities in processes related to sponsorship
· Coordinate and support the development of products for individual contribution and / or sponsorship in order to support its implementation together with COs resource mobilization point person.
· Promote and monitor the implementation and follow up of sponsorship-related standards established in the Child Protection Policy, data privacy and the Gender Equality Policy across the region.
· Support the countries to have strong sponsorship caseload plans, and systems for monitoring and evaluation.
· Monitor achievement of standards of sponsorship related goals and support COs to achieve them.
· Monitor that countries have in place control measures to address sponsorship associated risks
· Applies innovative and creative communications about child sponsorship and Plan’s programmatic approach and Sponsorship commitments
· Establish and maintain communication channels with staff engaged in the sponsorship area around the whole organization.
· Oversee the introduction, roll out and phasing out of corporate sponsorship systems.
· Contribute to the alignment of sponsorship with programs so as to attain the quality criteria of the sponsorship model and sponsorship communications.
Liaison and Networking:
· Promote regional network in the area of sponsorship and between this and program networks
· Represent the region in global forums
· Promote and facilitate effective relationships between National Offices and Country Offices in the areas related to sponsorship.
Role to the Regional Office:
· First point of contact at regional level to provide support, guidance and approval regarding critical sponsorship process (approval will be given in consultation/agreement with management).
· Regional Sponsorship Focal Points/Partners/Managers will inform the global team of priorities from countries, especially for GH annual planning
· Lead the development and implementation of process control following sponsorship compliance objectives that contribute to transparent and timely management of the area along with appropriate accountability.
· Contribute to the development of regional and global mechanisms, through proposals to enhance effective delivery of sponsorship commitments.
· Represent the region in global networks and initiatives around sponsorship products.
· To promote a modernized core sponsorship product and to support the development of a more diverse product mix.
· Promote regional strategies, standards and practices that ensure there is a two-way flow of open and constant communication
· Coordinate, support and promote the achievement of country and regional goals in sponsorship caseload management, building relationships, and development education.

· Monitor that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct, their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge
· Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience in sponsorship management.
· Good understanding of sponsorship processes beginning in the field and escalating to country, regional and global level, to ensure alignment with program commitments and policies.
· Degree level in education is a plus.
· Management experience in the non-for-profit sector.
· Knowledge of Diverse donor and sponsorship requirements.
· A track of record of achievement while managing a heavy workload, amidst ambiguity and uncertainty is important.
· Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.
Skills
· Ability to analyze data, link it to operations and practice in the field and recommend Solutions for decision making to senior levels.
· Capability to work with remote teams and can provide COs appropriate and timely response to address sponsorship related issues.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· High analytical skills of data and sponsorship processes.,
· Strong computer skills, especially in excel and PPT.
· Strong team building, motivational skills and commitment to continuous learning (coaching, mentoring, etc.) include the ability to coordinate remotely.
· Negotiation and influencing skills.
· Accurate and quick decision making.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues in countries.
· Ability to understands Plan’s objectives and implements processes/practices that support their achievement.
· Strong analytical, negotiating, facilitating, problem solving and influencing skills.
· Proficiency in use of relevant corporate applications.
· Ability to effectively work within a diverse working environment and culture.
· Ability to provide capacity building and training to countries sponsorship staff and PU end users.
