As the Regional Supply Chain Management Lead, you will provide overall strategic leadership, matrixed oversight and management support for all aspects of seamless Supply Chain Management (SCM) at the Regional and Field Office level in the Southern Africa Region. This position is part of the Regional Office (RO) team with a focus on ensuring stewardship, accountability, risk reduction and management strategies, leading the planning and sourcing of all key program spend that best serves the strategic and program objectives of the Field Offices (FOs) while ensuring best value for money. This leadership is delivered in partnership with the Regional Finance Director, and the Senior Director of Operations, championing the strategic intent of the Regional Chief Executive Officer (Regional Leader). In addition, you will be responsible for establishing supply chain management as a core strategic function for all programming contexts (emergency, fragile and development). You will also lead SCM team’s capacity strengthening, and the development and implementation of systems, processes and controls to drive efficient and effective delivery of FO programs while mitigating risk.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 7 years corporate and/or non-profit Supply Chain Management experience
  • 5 years’ experience in technical leadership role organisation
  • National Office field program experience
  • Experience leading a virtual, dispersed regional team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, required
  • 40% travel to World Vision Field Offices is expected.
