Mission: Database officer
The data database manager (s) guarantees the use of data management tools in projects and/or in the geographical areas of intervention to which ( a ) is assigned, as defined within the framework of the data management system established by the IM senior manager or by the Regional Manager MEAL.

Mission 1: Operational implementation
Responsibility 1: Contributes to tool development
Participates in the design and development of data collection forms ( paper or mobile data collection ( MDC ) )
Create the corresponding databases
Perform data entry and export tests
Responsibility 2: Oversee ( or perform ) data entry
Train and support teams responsible for entering form data in CTO survey or paper in the database
Ensures that the data in the database is regularly updated and / or synchronized
Enter data, if required.
Responsibility 3: Carries data processing and cleaning
Centralize information and compile the updated version of the database
Configure and run a regular series of tests to verify data quality and identify potential errors
Take appropriate steps to correct or neutralize identified errors
Develop mechanisms to automate quality testing as much as possible
Perform regular or on-demand data extractions
Include calculations in the database to perform first-level analysis or prepare more complex analyzes
Responsibility 4: Archive databases
During the course of the contract, it makes periodic backups and archives the intermediate versions of the databases.
At the end of the project, prepare and archive the final version of the databases and delete the intermediate versions in the different storage spaces
Responsibility 5: Identify measures to improve data quality
Together with the project teams and the MEAL team, it proposes measures to improve data quality
Monitor and alert for errors during a data collection exercise so that corrective action can be taken and future errors limited
Mission 2: Emergency preparedness and response
Contributes to the program’s emergency preparedness actions and, in an emergency, adapts its working methods to contribute to an effective humanitarian approach by HI
Graduated ( or ) in careers related to computing, data management, systems and / or information management.
3 years of experience in related positions ( in desirable humanitarian sector
Intermediate Excel – Advanced
Data Collection Tools ( Survey CTO Desirable )
