REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Procurement Type: Procurement of Consultancy Services (Research) Ref: RFP-22-003/CONSULT/SAHEL CASH Programme Name: Cash Modalities in Migration programming in the Sahel Funding: British Red Cross Estimated length: 4 months
The British Red Cross Society (BRC) UK Office invites proposals from experienced companies, institutions, or teams of consultants for the supply of services to conduct research to determine whether cash transfer programming impacts migrants’ decisions to migrate and demonstrate the real impact of the use of Cash in the humanitarian response provided by humanitarian actors to migrants. It is also to gain a much more realistic view of the limitations or obstacles that supposedly exist in using this modality for migrants and the local population.
With this research, the British Red Cross aims to demonstrate with evidence and facts, through critical analysis, the added value, appropriateness, and the limits of using Cash modality in migration-related programming. This is to ensure humanitarian programming that is both more relevant and aligns more closely with the needs of the most vulnerable migrants and to influence policies and humanitarian diplomacy. The geographical scope of the research will be Mauritania, Chad, and Burkina Faso.
The research will last approximately 4 months from December 2022 – March 2023.
“In the British Red Cross we will not tolerate any form of misconduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse. We have a code of conduct in place and are committed to creating a culture of integrity in the organisation where misconduct is not tolerated, situations of abuse are quickly investigated and perpetrators are dealt with effectively.”
