SEED’s training and education programs aim to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capacities of those working to protect, empower, and support the recovery of vulnerable and conflict-affected people including survivors of torture, trafficking (TIP), and gender-based violence (GBV), persons with disabilities, and members of minority religious and ethnic communities across the KRI, and to work to prevent gender-based violence and improve the safety and well-being of adolescents and youth.
The Training & Education Advisor will work closely with the GBV, MHPSS, and CP Technical Advisors, Training unit, and PSS Manager and collaboratively with Program Directors and Program Managers across SEED to ensure that the training and education programs are of a high didactical standard in order to build capacity, skills, and knowledge among participants.
Scope of Consultancy:
The Training & Education Advisor will provide technical consultancy and leadership to support SEED’s Training & Education programs and initiatives. The Education & Training Advisor will support the SEED’s education programs by working with the KRG, schools, universities, and local partners, and for training and capacity-building programs for service providers and government actors, as well as internal training programs for SEED staff. The consultant may also be tasked with other requirements that support SEED’s mission and programming, as the parties agree to per individual task orders. The Training & Education Advisor coordinates the development of the programs with subject matter consultants, in close collaboration with the Training Program Manager and PSS Program Manager.
Applicants would need to be available for programs beginning in June 2023.
DURATION
SEED expects the consultant to commit to the assignment between 10 June 2023 and 1 June 2024, including remote work and time spent in the Kurdistan Region, if applicable. The consultant must complete the assignment within the timeframe specified.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The consultant will work closely with the GBV, MHPSS, and CP Technical Advisors, PSS Manager, and collaboratively with Program Directors (remotely or in-person).
- The consultant will be required to utilize his/her own technology equipment and maintain workable Skype, Google Meet, and email accounts for communication.
- All materials produced by the consultant during the period of this consultancy will belong to SEED.
- The consultant must sign SEED’s Code of Conduct, and abide by all provisions of these policies for the duration of the consultancy period.
- The consultant will need to travel to areas of program implementation within the KRI.

- Any work with the KRG on education and training.
- Any organizations or donors for which you have provided similar services or have implemented similar projects for.
- Timing and availability (number of hours per month),
- Commitment and interest to the work outlined in this RFP.
- Daily rate in USD.
- Resume/CV no longer than three pages (As an annex to the technical and financial proposal form including evidence of experience and Bank details).
