Job description

The Research Analyst will work with NAMA’s team of research analysts to implement day-to-day activities related to research projects implemented by NAMA. Tasks include conducting secondary research/ literature review, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, producing narrative, descriptive, and analytical reports in both Arabic and English.

Responsibilities:

Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including creating graphs to visualize data;

Draft narrative, descriptive, and analytical reports in both Arabic and English;

Create research tools, including survey questionnaires, key informant interview discussion guides, and focus group discussion guides

Conduct desk research to acquire secondary research to support implemented projects in the design of research tools and in reporting

Implement other tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in any of the following fields: Politics, Political Science, International Development, International Affairs, Middle East Studies, Economics, Sociology, Government, or a relevant field

Quantitative and qualitative research experience is highly desirable

Demonstrated analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and analytical writing

Proficiency in both English and Arabic are required

Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SPSS is a plus

Knowledge of Jordanian socioeconomic and political affairs is highly desirable
