About Baladna
Baladna was founded in 2001 by a group of young Palestinians committed to advancing the social, political, cultural, and economic rights of Palestinian youth in Israel. Baladna seeks to empower Palestinian youth in Israel to overcome discrimination and marginalization while advancing their individual and collective rights. Operating at the grassroots level, Baladna organizes and activates Palestinian youth groups; builds the capacities of Palestinian youth in areas related to community engagement; facilitates workshops on issues related to identity, history, democracy, gender equality, and human rights; organizes campaigns on social and political issues affecting Palestinian youth; develops resources to understand and address the needs of Palestinian youth; and organizes workshops, seminars, study days, trainings, and tours to advance its mission. Job Summary and Main Responsibilities
Baladna is seeking a part-time Resource Development Coordinator (75%, Haifa/remote). The Resource Development Coordinator will work in close cooperation with the Director to identify and secure funding for the organization and its projects, strengthen the organization’s international networks, and contribute to the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, and strategic planning processes. The Resource Development Coordinator’s main responsibilities will include:
- Researching prospective donors
- Maintaining records of current and prospective donors
- Developing and implementing the organization’s long-term fundraising strategy and short-term fundraising action plans
- Writing letters of inquiry, concept notes, proposals, and donor reports
- Contributing to the organization’s learning, planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes
- Writing and editing publications for dissemination to the organization’s international networks
- Developing content for/updating the organization’s website
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, international studies, or a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- Excellent English writing skills
- Strong understanding of the social and political context facing Palestinians in Israel
- Commitment to advancing the rights of the Palestinian people
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Arabic (preferred)
Compensation
€2,700 (brutto) / 10,000 NIS (brutto) per month
