**Job Title:**Restoring Family links Field Officer 2

Duration of Contract: One-year fixed term contract (with the possibility of renewal to an open-ended contract where performance and competencies are key to be selected for further contractual continuity)

Objective:
Supports the implementation and monitoring of ICRC Restoring Family links (RFL) activities in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, particularly Dohuk governorate, in accordance with Iraq Protection Family Links (IQ PFL) guidelines and working procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular follow up with the beneficiaries and/or their families and when relevant, updates the information in the Protection database (Prot6) and inform families about follow ups done so far by ICRC concerning their Missing persons.
- Carries out tracing to find out the fate and whereabouts of missing persons outside detention whenever needed and review/AFN (Asking for news) for active cases according to the IKR and Baghdad tracing strategy.
- Carries out review/AFN (Asking for news) for active cases according to the IKR and Baghdad tracing strategy.
- Manages data according to procedures and keep individual files updated.
- Organise necessary field trips to provide Restoring family link services.
- Collects, documents, updates tracing requests (AoA – Allegation of Arrest/Tracing request. AoDET- Allegation of Detention, etc) according to PFL(Protection Family Links) guideline and working procedures, whenever beneficiaries approached ICRC in the office, filed, CCC(Community Contact Centre)/CRM(Customer Relationship Management) or referred by another NGOs.
- Handles RFL (Restoring Family Link) Material file in Dohuk office under the supervision of Erbil Head of Tracing, including collection, distribution and updating of the Logbook and Prot 6 according to the PFL guidelines.
- Updates Protection Office Figures in Prot 6 for Dohuk Office in monthly bases and provide statistics whenever required.
- Ensures establishing and maintaining efficient filing and archiving system of the mentioned files in line with standard procedures, including registration of relevant data in Prot6 Database.
- Contributes to the problem analysis of RFL to help define priorities and strategies, design and implementing of projects.
- Is focal person for translation and interpreting from/to Kurdish-Badini for RFL related materials/communications when require.
- May interact with a network of contacts at the local level, such as local authorities, and families seeking to re-establish contact with their loved ones, under the supervision of line manager.
- Conducts regular field trips within Dohuk AoR(Area of Responsibility) as required for the above activities whenever needed and prepares, participates in and reports on all aspects of field visits.
- Receives phone calls and visitors and ensures that requests are appropriately followed up.
Education and Professional Experience required:
• University degree or relevant professional experience.
• Excellent command of English, Arabic, Kurdish (Badini & Sorani).
• Computer literacy.
• 3 years’ experience in the field of social, political, or economic sciences or similar.
