The Safety Services Manager is tasked to plan, develop and implement educational programs which help develop national safety and health consciousness through First Aid, Basic Life Support, Water Safety, and other safety programs for the chapters and the general public.
Promotion of Safety Services Programs
- Lead the Safety Services Team, PRC Offices & Chapters in the promotion of Safety Services programs and services nationally to internal, external, corporate & community audiences
- Lead the Safety Services team in the promotion of Safety Services products and programs via traditional media channels and social media
- Build capacity within the Safety Services Team and PRC Chapters by providing coaching, training & mentoring on promotional techniques & strategies
- Direct and manage market research with a focus on identifying and developing areas of opportunity
- Cultivate relationships, networks, and partnerships with existing and potential customers and audiences
- Plan, promote, and implement adhoc Safety Services events such as the First Aid Olympics, Lifeguarding Competition, Mass Education on First Aid, CPR, and Accident Prevention
Delivery of Safety Services Programs
- Lead the Safety Services Team to ensure the successful delivery of Safety Services programs nationally including but not limited to:
- First Aid Courses
- Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) Courses
- Accident Prevention Training
- Emergency Medical Services Training
- Water Safety Courses (Swimming, Lifeguarding)
- Technical Rescue Training (Rope Rescue Technician, Swift-water rescue)
- Lead the Safety Services Team to ensure the successful delivery of services nationally including:
- First Aid Station
- Ambulance Service/Patient Transfer
- Beach Patrol/Lifeguarding Service
- Coordinate evaluation of all existing Safety Services programs, services & events
- Collaborate with the Safety Services team to ensure a continuous improvement cycle is in place
- Recommend & implement enhancements to current programs
- Build capacity within the Safety Services team by providing coaching & training on enhanced facilitation skills
- Build capacity within the Safety Services team by providing coaching & training on technical expertise and understanding
Leadership
- Lead Safety Services staff in the delivery of programs, services & events
- Lead & manage the Safety Services team
- Coordinate daily activities & schedules of the Safety Services team
- Build capacity within the Safety Services Team and PRC Chapters by providing coaching, training & mentoring targeting enhanced performance
- Develop operational strategy in line with PRC strategic goals, vision & mission
Communication
- Deliver accurate & timely reporting regarding Safety Services programs, services & events
- Cultivate relationships, networks, and partnerships with external training facilities, associations, NGOs, and/or Foundations
- Negotiate with government agencies as required e.g. accreditation, MOAs
- Approve the design and development of Safety Services products and materials including collateral, promotional material, life-saving kits, and merchandise
Reporting & Administration
- Support & assist the Secretary-General, Executive & Management Staff as required
- Attend meetings, conferences & forums as required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s/College Degree (4 Year Course) Health Science, Community Health, Program Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in program management and training in a safety-focused organization required
- Certification in First Aid, BLS-CPR, Water Safety, and Emergency Medical Services Training required
