SAP Software/Project Manager Expert, Integrated Water Solutions Support Technical Assistance Project

The USAID-funded Integrated Water Solutions Support Technical Assistance (IWSSTA) Project, Egypt, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) , is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified SAP Software/Project Manager Expert candidates. This position will be based in Cairo, Egypt, and reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP). **

Position Description/Summary: The USAID IWSSTA project supports the Government of Egypt’s modernization efforts to help promote the sustainability of the water and wastewater services. IWSSTA provides technical services and related resources to Egypt’s Holding Company for Water and Wastewater and the water and wastewater companies in the Upper Egyptian Governorates of Minia, Assiut, Shag, Qena and Luxor.

As such, Tetra Tech is seeking to employ a results-driven SAP expert to lead and facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financial and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules in a public sector utility company (focus on FICO Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment and settlement, payroll costing, HR functions management, budget and planning).

Responsibilities:

* Determine business needs via consultation, business analysis, and targeted observations of the public sector finance and HR staff to ensure that all project needs in terms of functions, problems and reports are met.

* Lead IWSSTA’s oversight of the execution of a detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.

* Liaise between the public sector company and the technical team of SAP implementers.

* Closely manage the SAP implementer in all stages to ensure the following tasks are conducted:

  • Develop and configure customized SAP solutions.
  • Deploy SAP solutions and ensure smooth integration and orchestration with other systems such as billing and asset management.
  • Provide SAP system support and end-user training.
  • Perform rigorous documentation of SAP processes and present progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide business process and functional support for the SAP FI module including its sub-ledgers such as AP, AR, and AA.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops/discussions and assess, challenge, and document business requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications for customizations and enhancements which include reports, data processing, load programs, and adjustment tools.
  • Identify and apply continuous improvement processes for operational efficiencies, drive process integration, and standardization.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by the DCOP.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or similar field preferred.

* Specialization in finance, project management, business administration, or related field will be advantageous.

* Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a full cycle implementation support projects or roll out project for the SAP FI and HCM modules including data migration and reconciliation like MM, HR, PP, and PS.

* Demonstrated knowledge or technical experience in functional test planning preparation execution, data reconciliation, and financial accounting.

* Demonstrated knowledge or technical experience in utility sectors (water, electricity) is an asset.

* SAP-accreditation certification required.

* At least 2 years’ experience as an SAP consultant/expert in similar projects required.

* Current knowledge of SAP systems, deployment, and integration.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

* Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.

* Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.

* Fluency in English and Arabic. Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
