About Us

Founded in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for emergency relief and development. SIF operates with strict neutrality, without distinction of origin, gender or religion, and is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the world’s most deprived populations.

Assignment

Under the direction of the Director of the International Programs and Operations Department, and with the support of the Security Assistant, the Mission Security Officer ensures that the SIF has the means, tools and procedures to guarantee the security of SIF teams and property on international missions.

Your main missions will be the following (non-exhaustive and evolving list):

• Establish a standardized security management framework (adapted to the SIF and its specificities) and ensure its use.
• Review existing tools and procedures and, if necessary, produce new ones.
• Develop operational recommendations on all issues relating to the security of SIF teams and assets in the field.
• Support headquarters teams and field teams in their thinking about security management.
• Monitor security issues across all SIF international missions.
• Promote a culture of safety within the SIF.
• Ensure the collection of “proof of life” from expatriates and headquarters employees leaving for missions.
• Provide security and kidnapping briefing to all employees and expatriates going into the field.
• Develop a “mission security” training module for field employees and expatriates.

Profile

• Required diploma: bac+3/4 in humanitarian security (Bioforce type).
• 3 years of experience in similar responsibilities and critical crisis management (attack on a team, kidnapping of an employee, etc.).
• Mastery of issues relating to the security of humanitarian operations.
• Good interpersonal skills, good ability to anticipate, sense of responsibility and resistance to stress.
• Fluent English.
• Office Pack and office tools.

Terms :

• 6-month fixed-term contract, maternity leave replacement.
• Executive status, daily package.
