Senior Advocacy Officer At International Alert

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in policy advocacy, to contribute to growing International Alert’s organisational influence at both the country and global level on a diverse range of issues related to peacebuilding.

This position will provide high-quality advice to teams across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, related to advocacy strategy, design, monitoring, and evaluation. It will identify and engineer opportunities to advance country program influencing priorities and buildout the organisation’s advocacy skills set through training and accompaniment. The role will also involve cultivating relationships of influence with relevant institutional interlocutors and associated representational duties.

This position requires proven abilities in the development and delivery of advocacy strategies, policy formulation, representation, and collaboration across teams delivering on-the-ground programming. The ideal candidate would possess strong existing networks with relevant national, regional, and/or international actors, have strong interpersonal and communications skills. All applicants must be fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
