Senior Campaigner x 2 positions (Open to Flexible Working) At Global Witness

Want to expose Big Tech and stop threats to our digital world? We’re recruiting two Senior Campaigners for our Digital Threats team.

About Global Witness

Global Witness wants to end environmental and human rights abuses driven by political and corporate elites.

The planet and its residents face a crisis: the climate is being destroyed, and civic freedoms are deteriorating. Rampant abuse of power is pushing the world to breaking point as Governments, and Big Corporations all too often go unchecked in their exploitation of our planet and its people.

For us to succeed, we need to embody the principles we fight for. Global Witness strives for cohesion, solidarity, and inclusion as only together can we protect one another and the planet to build a better and more just future.

About the roles

We’re excited to be hiring two Senior Campaigners to work on our Digital Threats to Democracy campaign. One role will be until the end of 2022, and the other until August 2023.

The digital threats campaign is designed to limit the power of Big Tech to undermine democracy and spread hate, polarization and disinformation.

As a Senior Campaigner, you’ll play a leading role to develop our campaign strategies and communications to ensure our campaign has the impact it deserves. You’ll design and promote key policy and advocacy changes, represent the campaign as well as being a central link in the team to influence and progress our campaign.

About you

You’ll bring experience in digital policy with a brilliant track record in securing progressive change at the national or international level via innovative campaigns.

You’re a skilled communicator, having produced media content to a variety of audiences. You’ll also have a strong affinity to Global Witness’ values. Finally, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and allies is critical in this role, so you must thrive in an environment where you frequently work with others to achieve impact.
