Senior Director-Volunteer & Institutional Engagement At Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity International, is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Director-Volunteer & Institutional Engagement. Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. (HFHI) is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Senior Director, Volunteer and Institutional Engagement. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Integrated Programs, this position leads our efforts to magnify the impact of each volunteer by focusing on approaches that drive the most community impact and nurturing volunteers on their journey to individually and collectively driving societal impact. This position is a member of HFHI’s Operational Leadership Team and will lead a team working in support of our 1,100 U.S. based Habitat for Humanity affiliates and 70 national organizations around the world.

This position will be based at our administrative headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, our operational headquarters in Americus, Georgia or our offices in Bratislava, Manila, Nairobi, San Jose, or Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities:
* Play a lead role in execution against HFHI strategic initiatives, developing divisional objectives, developing and managing the divisional budget and driving to meet or exceed revenue goals.
* Contribute to the integrated programs strategy and implementation as member of the integrated programs and operational leadership teams.
* Serve as subject matter expert on leveraging volunteers in support of program and international development goals.
* Enhance existing cross-cutting efforts and drive collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
* Develop and nurture external partnerships to engage more volunteers more deeply.
* Work with resource development to diversify funding models for volunteer involved programs including increased foundation and corporate support.
* Oversee provision of technical expertise in the areas of volunteer and community engagement to the Habitat network.
* Identify and lead opportunities to develop and implement innovative approaches to engage volunteers with emphasis on youth, diverse and community-based audiences.
* Lead the development and enhancement of program designs around evidence-based approaches and assess program designs for intended impact.

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree.
* 10+ years of leadership in international and US volunteer engagement.
* Strong understanding of international development and related global issues.
* Strategy development and program design experience.
* Demonstrated success engaging youth, diverse audiences and community-based volunteers.
* Global/Virtual team management skills and experience.
* Metrics driven, with a focus on driving results.
* High degree of self-reliance and resourcefulness to lead processes that may not be clearly defined and are constantly evolving with an action-oriented mindset; influence without formal authority; creative problem-solver.
* MBA or MPA preferred.
* Housing and shelter background preferred.
* Experience working as part of a federated network preferred.
