Senior Manager, MENA At GAME

We are looking for a seasoned yet still passionate, structured, and result-driven professional with experience from international management in the NGO sector. GAME has in recent years experienced a significant scaling of the international activities with an overall 32% growth alone in 2022. Following the rapid scaling of especially the activities in the Middle East and North Africa, we now about to roll-out a new strategy that will allow us to focus on three geographical regions, of which MENA is one.

The Senior Manager will take a leading role in supporting our Country Directors and facilitate the coordination between the country offices and our cross-cutting support functions at HQ. General oversight of our programs and funding as well as stakeholder management of major donors will also help fill out the day.

ABOUT THE POSITION
In this position you will:

  • Be the line manager for GAME’s Country Directors in Lebanon, Tunisia, and Jordan and support them in the implementation and delivery of GAME’s in-country programs and partnerships
  • Ensure good HR management, drive the impact scaling in the region, and strive for its financial sustainability
  • Play a key role in international fundraising in GAME as part of the cross-cutting Program Funding Team
  • Manage key strategic programs for GAME specifically the Danish Arab Partnership Programme under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Identify organizational needs to help GAME build a stronger foundation as we grow and achieve operational excellence
  • Take on a key strategic management role in GAME

WE EXPECT YOU

  • Have relevant education at an academic level
  • Have international professional experience on management level and preferably experience with leading managers
  • Are a strong coordinator, who can set the framework and bring out the best in others
  • Have experience from the NGO sector, preferably within the field of youth and/or sports
  • Must be flexible to travel (less than 50 days per year expected)
