Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Program Funding Manager, you will lead the Fundraising team’s efforts and be the main point of contact for all Fundraising activities in the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office (LACRO) with matrix reporting to the Regional Head for LACRO.

You will develop and manage funding opportunities through grants, major donors and through National office programmes that support VisionFund International’s (VFI) network of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in LACRO in keeping with VFI global strategy and funding priorities. You will manage third party regional grant and major donor acquisition and compliance. You will act as the technical lead for World Vision’s Thrive Programme globally, supporting MFIs and leading the relationship with World Vision US as the programme owner.

As the Senior Funding Manager for the LACRO region, you will:

  • Coordinate the activities of the Fundraising team ensuring alignment of fundraising activities to Regional Priorities;
  • Provide reports to the LACRO Regional Head on fundraising activities and ongoing management of projects and will ensure that fundraising activities of all members of the team are aligned to business needs in the region;
  • Serve as part of the Regional leadership team providing the bridge between operations and the fundraising team;
  • Provide leadership and capacity building on the development of funding acquisition and project management in the LACRO region, including supporting team members in delivering training and supporting the Global Program Funding Director in developing and rolling out materials to support MFI staff.

Requirements include:

  • University degree in international development, economics, or related field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the grant making field, fundraising, or corporate management setting dealing with senior management.
  • Excellent research skills and experience in developing funding opportunities.
  • Strong grant-writing skills, persuasive writing, and complex document creation.
  • Able to work in complex corporate culture and financial systems and ensure procedures internally and with third parties are well documented, monitored and executed.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
  • The position may be home based, which means that the job-holder must be comfortable not working in direct contact with colleagues, and must have the self-discipline necessary both to achieve agreed goals, and to maintain work-life balance.
