Position Summary:
Panagora seeks a confident and driven Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist to be our primary ambassador to the national talent market. The position is responsible for leading all efforts to attract top talent and assist the Global Director of Human Resources (GHR) to expand/create and deliver workforce planning priorities so that Panagora continues to attract and keep top talent.
The specialist works with various departments to manage their recruitment activities (U.S. domestic now and potentially expanding to include international (Expats and TCNs)) ensuring that Panagora staff needs, and corporate objectives are met. Directly leads recruitment activities by research and direct sourcing through cold calling, networking, mining, and referrals. Builds contact database to meet current and future staffing needs. As the team grows, the specialist will train, coach, and support other recruiters by creating or improving existing recruitment tools, streamline procedures where possible, and ensuring compliance at every step with corporate policies and prevailing regulatory requirements. As part of staff retention priorities, will work closely with the Director, GHR to create and/or expand workforce planning activities, ensuring that existing as well as new HR activities and offerings support the vision.
Expected Outcomes:
- Responsible for the implementation of the Global Human Resources Department’s Talent Acquisition objectives.
- Under the director of the Director, GHR, takes a lead role in the development and implementation of the company’s retention management strategies.
- Leads critical strategic recruitment activities, as well as overall recruitment activities including coaching and supporting other recruiters through mentorship and consultations, tools creation, process streamlining, etc.
- Professionally serves as the external face of the organization to prospective candidate audiences with credibility and enthusiasm, leveraging its strong brand, and clearly communicating its vision and value proposition.
- Supports company goal to promote the professional development and wellbeing of our employee-owners, balancing productivity with work-life balance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Director, GHR develop a comprehensive diversity recruitment strategy for Panagora staying abreast of upcoming business growth opportunities.
- Serve as Panagora’s primary ambassador to the talent market; leveraging social media, virtual events, colleges and universities, and professional organizations to promote Panagora to a diverse group of prospective talent.
- Align the recruitment of each position to the overall strategy and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective method(s) of recruitment.
- Screen candidates, establish interview panels, facilitate, and moderate interviews, and facilitate the selection of candidates.
- Develop SOPs and training materials related to recruitment and deliver training to various employee groups.
- Working closely with the Director, GHR contribute the development and implementation of workforce development planning activities.
- On a routine basis, review and evaluate benefits and compensation with the Director, GHD to ensure that Panagora’s compensation packages are fair and competitive.
- Manage employee separation process including conducting exit interviews and maintain separation metrics.
- Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and federal and state regulations regarding all recruitment practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, GHR.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of general HR experience, with a preference within an international organization.
- 8+ years international recruiting experience, with a demonstrated ability to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for a variety of positions at different levels.
- Knowledge of USAID and other international donor agencies.
- Experience with candidate tracking tools and job boards, e.g., Zoho, iCIMS, Taleo, LinkedIn, Devex, Relief Web, Peace Corps, etc.
- Ability to develop and deliver HR training materials related to recruitment and other topics, as needed.
- Ability and flexibility to work with teams or independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in culturally diverse team environments.
- Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions.
- Proficient in MS Office skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- SPHR/PHR Certification or equivalent qualification in HR.
- Experience with virtual recruitment preferred.
- International development and/or international public health experience.
- Worked or lived in one or more developing countries.
- Fluency in a second language preferred (French, Portuguese, Spanish, or other major national language(s) relevant to area(s) of focus)
