The Skills Development Officer contributes to strengthening the capacities of international emergency response teams (Emergency Response Team-ERU, Rapid Response-RR), by designing and deploying training programs adapted to the challenges of humanitarian contexts. He/she plays a key role in the professionalization of the teams, while ensuring the integration of the latest educational innovations (digital learning, field simulations, etc.).
MISSION 1: Design humanitarian training programs
.Identify, in collaboration with the CRF and Movement business experts, the specific skills expected of emergency response teams (ERU and Rapid Response etc.) in crisis management contexts.
.Develop and structure relevant educational content, tools and adapted training materials (face-to-face, e-learning, webinars, etc.) integrating practical cases from real humanitarian situations
.Design, based on the content developed, training devices adapted to the needs of the participants
.Participate in the development of digital, e-learning training by anticipating future challenges
.Collaborate with IFRC training experts to ensure that training content developed by the CRF is aligned with the standards and approaches of the International Federation.
MISSION 2: Coordinate the implementation of training/simulations, lead some of them, at headquarters, in different locations and remotely
.Coordinate and monitor the implementation of training/field exercises for emergency response teams: planning, logistics management (rooms, equipment, registrations, accommodation, transport), selection of trainers, participants, training evaluation/post-training monitoring
.Animation of training/field exercises, monitoring and support of participants
.Design the relevant methods for deploying training
.Evaluate the impact of training in the medium term and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems
.Animate the network of ERU technical trainers
.Contribute in conjunction with the Support Coordinator to the budgetary monitoring of training activities.
MISSION 3: CONTRIBUTE TO THE GLOBAL CYCLE OF INTERNATIONAL CRISIS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
.Participate in awareness-raising/training actions for the various departments and partners on the procedures and operation of the hub and in carrying out crisis simulation exercises to test the organization’s preparedness.
.Participate in structuring meetings of the CR/CR Movement on various themes related to international emergencies
.Provide support to other members of the pole when the operational context requires it.
Education : Bac +5 diploma, university or major schools
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of management, design and facilitation of training; Project management; Experience in the humanitarian or associative sector highly appreciated.
Languages : Fluency in written and spoken French and English
