General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, to alleviate suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, takes exceptional care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes creating safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for individuals’ emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development by focusing on people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee-disabled people and identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. All activities, education, research, advocacy, etc., are carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

To coordinate special education sessions for children with disabilities and facilitate parenting sessions for caregivers in A’zaz.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

· Undertaking rapid and detailed assessments of beneficiaries,

· Implementing parental skills sessions for caregivers

· Scheduling special education sessions in partnership with the special education specialist

· Sharing a plan for implementing special education sessions for children with a disabilities with the case management team to ensure the transfer of children from their homes to the center and back at the time specified in the plan

· Preparing a report on the parenting skills sessions that he implements and sharing them with the special education specialist

· Documenting and preserving special education sessions and parenting skills

· Preparing an intervention plan including care plan following detailed assessment

· Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary

· Document all services (paper or electronic) provided to beneficiaries , evaluation forms, etc.

· Apply principles of confidentiality for all beneficiaries including all written documents.

· provide information and initial assessment with people with Disabilities (PwDs) and their care givers.

· Ensure accurate data entry for all cases evaluated

· keep ongoing communication with the communities, providing up to date information on available services;

· Prepare weekly work plan and organize his/her schedule in order to complete tasks in an appropriate manner.

· Assisting the SNR specialist in implementing special education sessions for children with a disabilities

· Carrying out all tasks that respect key protection principles including, but not limited to: do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality and accountability;

· Participate in meetings and training courses inside and outside the centers upon request.

· Perform any other tasks related to the program when required.

Requirements: Essential

· Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or any other relevant field.

· Beginner level in English language

· Good experience in working with PwDs (People with Disabilities)

Requirements (desired)

· Experience in humanitarian work and principles.

· Good knowledge of MS Office programs.

Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in providing rehabilitation.

Supervising the implementation of rehabilitation sessions that will help build the capabilities and skills of beneficiaries and improve their educational level.

· Implementing parenting skills sessions for caregivers

· Organizing special educational sessions in partnership with a special education specialist

· Sharing the plan for implementing rehabilitation sessions for children with disabilities with the case management team

· Preparing a report on the parenting skills sessions implemented and presented by the rehabilitation specialist

· Documenting and archiving rehabilitation sessions

· Prepare an intervention plan that includes a care plan after conducting a detailed assessment

· Accompanying eligible persons for referral to other authorities if necessary.

· Documenting all services (paper or electronic) provided to beneficiaries, evaluation forms, etc.

· Apply confidentiality principles to all beneficiaries, including all written documents.

· Providing information and initial assessment for people with disabilities and their caregivers.

· Ensure that data is entered accurately in all cases evaluated

· Continuous communication with local communities, providing updated information on available services;

· Prepare a weekly work plan and organize a schedule to complete tasks as required.

· Assisting the rehabilitation specialist in implementing sessions with children with disabilities

· Carry out all tasks that respect key protection principles including but not limited to: freedom from harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality and accountability;

· Participate in meetings and training courses inside and outside the centers upon request.

· Carrying out any other tasks related to the program when needed.

Requirements: Essential
