Responsibilities
AAN Associates is actively looking for qualified individuals, experienced in leading/conducting complex policy evaluations and comprehensive knowledge of Social Protection sector of Malawi to fill the role of Social protection and Evaluation Expert for a potential project. Candidates with experience for UN Agencies, bi/multilateral donors and INGOs such as World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, WFP, World Bank, Asian Development Bank and African Development Bank, IFAD, BMGF to name a few, are highly encouraged to apply. The professional will be responsible for:
- Crafting and executing a comprehensive evaluation strategy that integrates seamlessly with our development objectives.
- Facilitate data collection efforts, be able to conduct Key Informant Interviews and FGDs.
- Taking charge of designing and overseeing the implementation of our evaluation plan, ensuring thoroughness and precision at every stage.
- Upholding the highest standards of scientific rigor and ethical integrity throughout the evaluation process.
- Leading the interpretation of evaluation findings.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to our dedicated research teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Implementing robust quality assurance mechanisms to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of our research data.
- Collaborating closely with external evaluators and auditors to enhance the credibility and trustworthiness of our evaluation efforts.
- Actively engaging with stakeholders, sharing impactful findings, and representing our project at relevant forums and events.
Requirements:
- A university degree in Social Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related disciplines. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 7 years proven working experience in development policy evaluation, process evaluation and/or data analysis;
- Demonstrated experience in participating in assignments of similar complexity.
- Experience and knowledge of the social protection sector in Malawi is an added advantage;
- Knowledge of the Government structure in Malawi is an added advantage;
- Excellent communication, analysis, writing and report presentation skills in English; knowledge of Chichewa is an added advantage.
