Socio-Economic Data Analyst
Unit: Social Development Team
Period: 20 October 2021 to 20 June 2022
Level of Effort (LOE): Minimum of 30 days
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead data management, including data extraction, consolidation, processing, analysis and storytelling
- Lead research and analysis on government and household spending on education and social development, including analysis of the public budget allocation and expenditure
- Provide technical assistance for preparation of policy papers, briefers, presentations, and other reference materials to be presented to government officials and key stakeholders
- Contribute to team discussions and strategic planning through data analysis
- Maintain collaborative relationships with the CfC social development team, its network, and partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g Statistics, Data Science, Political Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics etc.). Certifications and advanced degrees in data analysis an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in research and data analysis, with familiarity in data tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS, R) highly desirable
- Demonstrated competency in research methods and techniques and ability to analyze, interpret, and present data
- At least three (3) years professional experience in policy research and development
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino.
- Ability to self-direct, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience working in adaptive programs and development entrepreneurship would be an advantage.
