Job Summary
As a member of CRS’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team, the Specialist II, DEI is responsible for coordination and support of CRS’s agency-wide Respect, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) efforts targeted to the development or improvement of CRS systems (policies, procedures, and behavior). Your active contributions of your knowledge, advic e and guidance will ensure effectiveness and efficiency in CRS systems and application of CRS principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
DEI & REDI Projects/Initiatives

  • Partner with Global REDI Council members to plan key REDI updates, discussion topics, Global REDI Council meetings and internal Microsoft Teams site
  • Support the annual issuance of REDI Leadership behaviors competency assessment reports.
  • Provide time/change management and action planning support for key annual DEI action priorities
  • Benchmarks trends and issues; plan, organize and implement diversity sector and peer efforts and strategies.
  • Administer key REDI initiatives and projects, such as equity assessment, CP regional REDI activity tracking, REDI initiatives key process mapping and communication guidelines
  • Manage the Biennial Global REDI Council member transition and selection process
  • Develop, manage, and monitor CRS processes related to DEI metrics and assessments.
  • Track and report on REDI activities across the agency.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor staff REDI surveys and Agency Townhalls; interpret data and assess degree of participation.
  • Create Quarterly/ annual REDI data reporting, including supporting AAP/EEO and REDI leadership assessments
  • Provide innovative ideas and assistance in organizing diversity and inclusion programs and events to help build and promote diversity awareness, networking, and employee engagement.
  • Keep up-to-date on DEI programs and initiatives including industry- and country-program-specific diversity focus areas.

Communications

  • Serve as an internal consultant and a key point of contact on REDI projects by answering colleagues’ questions and concerns.
  • Serve as liaison between DEI, Global People Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs), including the Learning & Development team, and Global REDI Council
  • Manage internal feedback instruments, i.e., REDI’s inbox and website, and applicable Microsoft (MS) Teams channels
  • Actively support and contribute to DEI communications elements such as: Agency Townhall updates, REDI leader toolkits/ information sessions, FAQs, REDI internal website and agency wide REDI communications.
  • Manage CRS’s Global REDI Council communications and action plan
  • Organize DEI colleague feedback sessions
  • Serve as a content owner on select DEI learning pathways
  • Assists with internal communication campaigns to promote an understanding of REDI and celebrate REDI achievements through various communications channels.

Basic Qualifications (BQs)
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a project lead and leadership support role or demonstrated ability to proactively manage projects, communications and data

Travel – Willing and able to travel up to 10 % within the US and internationally.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (SKAs)

  • Detail-oriented with proven organizational and project coordination skills
  • Demonstrated dedication to continuous learning
  • Proven ability to work independently on multiple tasks with commitment and willingness to see issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a larger team.
  • Ability and willingness to lead multiple projects independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge and application of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) measurements, platforms, and change management
  • Change Management and Project Management training and experience
  • Business acumen, global experience, and clearly comprehends the critical connection to the global staff and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion learning
  • Global operating experience within budget, HRIS systems and data reporting
  • Experience or willingness to take LinkedIn Content Owner and Affirmative Action/ EEO Trainings
  • Prior experience collaborating with different employee groups, or country programs based in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or Middle East preferred
