Expertise France is a public agency for implementing international cooperation projects.
We are placed under the supervision of the ministries responsible for foreign affairs and
the economy and finance, with whom we have a contract of objectives and means.

Interministerial agency for international technical cooperation , we are
the operator of all ministries. In 2021, the agency joins the AFD group (Agence
Française de Développement) which provides us with financial and operational solutions.

The objective of Expertise France is to fight against global inequalities : our projects are
mainly oriented towards the protection of global public goods and the response to the
global challenges that all societies in the North and South must face.

tailor-made solutions across a broad field of expertise which includes:

Security, maintenance of peace and stability.

Reporting to the head of the anticipation unit of the operations security department, the security monitoring intern will have the mission of supporting the monitoring unit and facilitating the exercise of the department’s missions:

Missions :

As part of his/her missions, the intern:

Supports the monitoring unit of the operations security department by writing summary and analysis notes on the agency’s intervention geographies;
Populates the security incident database and carries out risk mapping;
Develops procedures/references, updates safety documentation and monitoring tools;
Supports the organization of training actions (security briefing and field safety training) for headquarters employees and deployed in the field;
Facilitates the accomplishment of the missions of the planning cell of the operations security department;
Ensures regular activity reporting to the management of the operations security department;
Participates in the resolution of possible crises.

Desired profile:

Master’s level training in progress, security / defense / international relations themes;
You demonstrate common sense and are comfortable working in a constrained environment;
You have strong interpersonal and writing skills;
You are autonomous and rigorous and have a good capacity for initiative;
The position is based in Paris and may involve travel abroad.
