The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, working in more than 40 countries to provide appropriate assistance with a rights-based approach to refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees and migrants.

DRC established an operational presence in Colombia in 2011 with a focus on Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and providing support to the conflict-affected population in the south of the country. With the onset of large mixed migration flows into Colombia due to the Venezuelan crisis, DRC initiated an integrated humanitarian response in 2018 to meet the urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, Colombian returnees and host communities in some of the areas. most vulnerable areas of Colombia, such as the coastal areas of the Caribbean (Riohacha and Barranquilla). urban centers (Bogotá and Cundinamarca), and Caquetá. In 2021, DRC opened field offices on the South Pacific coast in the department of Nariño and the northern area of Colombia in Norte de Santander.
POSITION GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Support activities related to purchasing and logistics, ensuring compliance with DRC procedures and guidelines in the Norte de Santander office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shopping:
• Ensure that all purchasing requisitions are tracked from the point of planning and request to final receipt.
• Guarantee the correct documentary management of the processes involved with the logistics area.
• Prepare relevant documents for the acquisition of goods and services.
• Participate in the evaluation of bids and proposals and ensure that the bid evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations and contracts negotiated in the selection of suppliers contain all the facts and information necessary to justify the recommendations and selection made in the report.
• Participate in the joint verification of purchased goods and equipment and verify the conformity of the items with the technical specifications and quantities.
• Check that all old and new assets are correctly registered in the system and labeled.
• Carry out verification of physical assets.
• Carry out continuous inventory monitoring and update the respective report.
• Supervise deliveries and shipments from DRC warehouses and carry out the necessary documentation.
• Assist with minor purchases required by the operation.
• Follow up on returns or claims with suppliers.
• Make timely payments to suppliers and check that the invoices received are in accordance with what was negotiated and delivered.
• Maintain good communications with warehouse staff at other DRC locations and partner organizations.
Logistics:
• Carry out the requests and processes that are required in accordance with the annual purchasing plan made by the organization.
Fleet management:
• Assist with fleet management tasks as needed.
• Compile regular fuel consumption reports and monthly vehicle utilization analysis, as well as monitoring technical reviews.
Security:
Support to the Context Officer, movement reporting, monitoring and accompaniment to teams in the field
EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in humanitarian logistics, procurement, transportation and distribution, storage and stock management for humanitarian emergencies

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Professional with 2 years of experience (Administration, Logistics and related is desirable but not limiting)
