the Supply Chain Manager will be in charge of Control, execute and support all the mission procurement thru the Damascus office, giving and active support to Hassakeh base, Aleppo working space, being giving proactive solutions to the mission.

Key activities

Objective 1: Procurement at mission Level

  • Control, execution of all the mission procurement, active support to bases.
  • Follow up and supervise the smooth running of supply chain following always the AAH guidelines increasing the capacity response.
  • Lead the Procurement Meeting on weekly basis ensuring a smooth reception of the PR’s among the departments
  • Act as the mission focal point in terms of procurement giving integral solutions, launching tenders and avoid split of market
  • Be aware and support the mission with the local partners requirements in terms of procurement, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions in timely manner.

Objective 2: Warehouse Management

  • Responsible for the warehouse operations
  • Responsible for the warehouse inventory and fill rate
  • Responsible for the warehouse reporting (INBOND – OUTBOND

Objective 3: Information Management & Reporting

  • Ensure all dossiers are complete as per guidelines minimizing the audit risks
  • Control the systematic procedure to receive in capital all documents from bases in terms of procurement
  • Mission Procurement Follow Up report with a minimum accuracy of 95% to be delivered on monthly basis.
  • CFU for procurement management.

Objective 4: Team Management

  • Manage the staff under his responsibility
  • Conduct appraisals for staff
  • Conduct Capacity building to the staff under his responsibility
  • Ensure that the staff under his responsibility do their tasks as per the AAH Code of Conduct and Principles.

Candidate description

  • University degree in any related field
  • 2 years of professional work experience in similar role
  • Knowledge in Humanitarian Principles
  • Knowledge in Logistics in Humanitarian Field
  • Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, very strong and daily collaboration with Technical / program team will be necessary
  • Stress resistance, ability to work in high pressure environment
  • Mobility National and international

Remuneration package

Contract period: 6 months renewable base on Action Against Hunger fund and performance.

Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger’s salary scale and terms and conditions.

Duty station: Damascus
