Supply Chain Officer At Save the Children

The Opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Country Supply Chain Manager role is to understand the whole supply chain and process in SCIS, so he/she can effectively work and coordinate with all supply chain functions for the office in Khartoum state by working towards the ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. He/she will be responsible in stock controls, warehousing, fleet, transportation (staff and goods), and monitoring of the flow of goods. And assisting the procurement function in liaising with suppliers of raw material, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.

Also to Take leadership in the supply chain management for CARONA Isolation Centers, medicines and medical supplies – procurement, transport, warehousing, dispatch to partners/projects, loss management and reporting. On a day-to-day they carry out a variety of functions required to ensure the logistical needs of programme are met and that all logistical activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and on-time. All activities are carried out in line with Save the Children policies and procedures and according to any applicable donor or Save the Children guidelines.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy. An MBA is desirable
  • . 1 to 3 years, proven experience in administrating Supply Chain functions: – Warehousing, Fleet, Procurement and Asset Management with regards to the medical supply chain.
  • Good command in and ability to understand Supply Chain issues.
  • Able to work under pressure, able to multitask, excellent team player and able to work in a multinational environment
  • Contract duration: 1 year
