- What is the Danish Refugee Council (DRC)?
Established in 1956, the Danish Refugee Council ( DRC) is one of the largest international NGOs and one of the few organizations with particular expertise in the area of forced displacement. Through its 9,000 employees spread across 40 countries, themselves supported by 7,500 volunteers, the DRC protects refugees and other populations and communities affected by displacement, promotes their rights and helps them build a sustainable future. The DRC intervenes at all stages of displacement: during acute crises, during displacement, during installation and integration in a new place and/or upon return. The DRC provides protection and life-saving humanitarian assistance; helps displaced people to support themselves and integrate into host societies; collaborates with civil society and responsible authorities to promote the protection of rights and peaceful coexistence.
2. Purpose of the consultancy mission
The DRC based in Tunisia is seeking proposals from consultants aimed at paying the international staff tax in Tunisia.

4. Objectives of the consultancy mission
The objective of the consultancy mission is:
- Annual calculation of the tax of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
- Submission of the annual declaration of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
- Tax clearance of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
Mission scope and methodology
The consultant must:
- Annual calculation of the tax of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
- Submission of the annual declaration of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
- Tax clearance of each international staff eligible to pay tax in Tunisia.
The Consultant will prepare a detailed methodology and work program indicating how the project objectives will be achieved and the level of support expected from the DRC.

The Consultant will provide the documentation by mail, email and physical tax clearance receipt.
- Duration, schedule and payments
The total duration planned for the complete completion of the mission will not exceed six months.
The Consultant must be willing to complete his mission no later than July 31, 2024 .

- Eligibility and required qualifications/experience
Qualifications/experience required
- The consultant must be registered with the company of accountants in Tunisia: auditor.
Qualifications/experience required
- It is recommended that the consultant has worked with other NGOs including DRC.
- Eligibility :
- The Consultant is authorized to work in Tunisia
- Qualifications :
- At least a title of auditor.
- Experience
- At least three years of proven experience in the NGO sector.
- Skills and knowledges :
- The consultant must have already carried out the calculation and payment of taxes for international staff based in Tunisia and ensured obtaining the tax clearance.
- Languages :
- Fluency in written and spoken French.
- Working knowledge of English is considered an advantage
