Team Lead Information and Results management At Norwegian Red Cross

The Norwegian Red Cross is seeking a Team Lead for Information and Results management. This is an exciting opportunity to make an important contribute to the international humanitarian operations of the Norwegian Red Cross, and be a part of the world’s largest humanitarian network. The purpose of this position is to contribute to improved quality of Norwegian Red Cross supported operations. This is done by leading a team of technical experts in information and results management. The team is responsible for ensuring the development and dissemination of operational guidance and standards in information and results management, as well as monitoring adherence. The team also contributes to the development and management of operational work processes. The team lead will represent the organization on information and results management with external partners. The team lead reports to the Head of the Technical Unit, works closely with Team Leads for Health and Protection, and is a part of the management team in the unit.

Main responsibilites:

  • Lead and manage the information and results management team in the Technical Unit and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring the development and dissemination of operational guidance and standards in information and results management, as well as monitoring adherence.
  • Facilitate Norwegian Red Cross information and results management network and ensure the network contributes to continuous improvement in information and results management.
  • Liaises technically with the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement partners related to information and results management.
  • Coordinates the development and alignment of information and results management technical standards, tools, and resources
  • Oversees the production of operational results data for key decision-making processes such as annual budget, reallocation process, and relevant donor processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment and organising capacity building and training of relevant staff in the use of information and results management technical guidance.
  • Contributes to operational activities being informed by operational data, evidence, and best practice, by making information available and easily accessible.
  • Contribute to the improvement of work processes related to operational management.
  • Contributes to operational workforce planning, coordination of technical networks and facilitating innovation in technical practices.
  • Contributes proactively to the management of the technical unit and is a part of the management team in the unit.

Formal qualifications

  • Advanced university degree, preferrably in fields related to information and results management
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven results in managing and leading teams and/or projects
  • Experience from working with technical standards in information and results management
  • Solid understanding of the use of digital tools and systems for information and results management
  • Experience from information and results management in humanitarian settings an asset
  • Experience with strategy implementation and strategic management an asset

Personal qualifications

  • Excellent relational skills, and very good ability to cooperate and share competency
  • Strong ability to take initiative and accept responsibility for achieving objectives and results.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams and set strategic direction
  • Fluency in English. French or Arabic an asset.
  • Working proficency in Norwegian or willingness to learn.
