Overview:
International Business and Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US-based international development consulting company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader for an upcoming evaluation of the USAID/North Macedonia Media Literacy and Resilience to Disinformation (“YouThink”) Activity. The purpose of the YouThink Activity is to increase the media literacy of North Macedonian youth by building their information literacy skills. This is a home-based position with travel to North Macedonia expected.
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
Scope of Work:
- Manage and supervise the evaluation team and provide leadership throughout the evaluation process.
- Oversee the implementation of the evaluation activities, including any necessary document review, fieldwork and data collection, and reporting on key findings and recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of experts, including expats and North Macedonians.
- Coordinate all evaluation activities, including activity planning, design, reviewing data collection instruments, supervising of data collection, reviewing work products from team members, and integrating work products of team members into draft and final reports.
- Oversee and support the development of deliverables, drafting and finalizing the evaluation reports.
- Participate in data collection and analysis as needed.
- Plan and facilitate presentations on findings and research methods to stakeholders and partners.
- Interact with USAID and government officials to meet evaluation standards and expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 10 years of strong team leadership and management, and commitment to delivering timely and high-quality evaluation products.
- At least 10 years of extensive evaluation expertise with strong mixed-methods evaluation skills.
- Prior evaluation experience in North Macedonia or the region.
- An understanding of media literacy and disinformation, particularly as how they relate to youth.
- Native speaker-level English language report writing skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
Education: Advanced degree in social studies, communication, or related fields.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of USAID’s evaluation policy desired.
- Macedonian language skills desired.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Travel to North Macedonia will be required.
