Context & Mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent international medical and humanitarian organisation that provides care to people in need, to people affected by natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
Main responsibilities
The Face to Face (F2F) Team Leader is a member of the Regular Donor Acquisition unit, one of the business units of the Communication and Fundraising Department. He/she reports hierarchically to the Programs and F2F Romandie Coordinator. His/her mission will be to acquire new F2F Regular Donors and ensure the smooth running of F2F campaigns on the spots, by motivating and training the teams and ensuring good management of the stand. He/she is responsible for achieving both quantitative and qualitative objectives.
In collaboration with the Line Manager:
- Participation in the reflection around the F2F campaign strategy.
- Participation in the preparation and management of weekly/monthly team schedules.
- Participation in the recruitment of Fundraisers in French-speaking Switzerland.
- Ensure the achievement of acquisition objectives.
- Report the quality of the spots according to clearly established KPIs.
- Participation in the development and application of the individual training strategy.
- Support in the implementation of the operational strategy of Fundraising, for the achievement of quantitative and qualitative KPIs.
Autonomously – Acquisition of regular donors
- Be the first contact with local authorities, police or, where appropriate, other F2F fundraising professionals at the assignment site.
- To inform interested persons about the work and activities of Médecins Sans Frontières.
- Acquire new regular donors through a direct debit procedure.
- Be a role model for the entire team regarding F2F fundraising work (role model).
- Follow up incomplete LSVs by telephone according to internal procedures.
Autonomously – Team and performance management:
- Monitor and manage the performance of teams in the field.
- Ensure the cohesion and ongoing training of the team present on the same site.
- Be the first guarantor of the motivation of F2F fundraisers: motivational speeches, personal feedback, encouragement, regular updates on objectives and performance, or other.
- Ensure a punctual start and end of work; in agreement with the Programs and F2F Coordinator in the event of early departure from the same site.
- Management of the running of the days and breaks of the F2F fundraisers present on the same site and in accordance with the schedule.
- Provide ongoing feedback on performance, desire and motivation, as well as general behavior of F2F fundraisers to the F2F Program Coordinator.
- First point of contact in case of illness and for leave requests.
- Ensure that quality work criteria are met by all team members.
- Use “street” tools in connection with the training strategy for the continuing training of F2F fundraisers, via coaching sessions and quality support in collaboration with the Programs and F2F Coordinator.
- Ensure transport, cleanliness and order on the stand in line with MSF quality standards.
- Immediately inform the Programs and F2F Coordinator in the event of misconduct.
- LSV Quality Assurance: Monitor and document the quality of support forms.
- Daily submission of support forms to the LSV processing unit.
- Reporting on activity performance and individual performance of each Fundraiser.
In collaboration with the Log & Admin Assistant:
- Maintain a summary document of all F2F material, and ensure rigorous monitoring before, during and after campaigns.
- Take inventory and communicate additional needs in advance.
- Ensure that all the materials needed for the daily work of the teams (Welcome Packs, forms, Reactions newspapers, roll-ups, stand decorations, banners, annual reports, etc.) are in sufficient quantity at all times on the work premises.
- In charge of preparing the stands before each campaign.
Other :
- Participate in department and cell meetings.
- Be a source of proposals, visits to new sites and potential F2F locations according to requests from the Coordinator.
- Telephone availability at all times during the agreed working days.
- Daily sharing of the day’s performance according to the requested format.
Profile sought
Education
- Sales/marketing training is an asset
- Training in human resources is an asset
- Management training is an asset
Experience
- Experience in F2F fundraising
- Minimum 2 years of experience in F2F fundraising or equivalent
- Management experience
- Very good knowledge of the activities of Médecins Sans Frontières

Working conditions
- Part-time position 80% (32 hours/week from Wednesday to Saturday)
- Fixed-term contract of 3.5 months
- Work location: Geneva
- Ideal start date: 05.03.2025
- End date: 06/28/2025
- Gross monthly salary (at 80%): from CHF 5,095.2 to CHF 6,405.6 (salary based on equivalent experience and the internal salary scale).
- Paid vacation: 25 days per year, pro rata temporis, plus Swiss public holidays falling during the term of the contract.
- Pension fund: contribution to the pension fund (2nd pillar-BVG) covered 3/4 by MSF and 1/4 by the employee.
