Team Leader, USAID/RDMA Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) Study At Social Impact

Project Objective:

Under Task Order 46 of the Asia Learning Monitoring and Evaluation (ALME) program, the USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) has requested Social Impact to complete a study on Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) in Southeast Asia. The study findings will be used to inform the Regional and Country Development Cooperation Strategy development and support integration of GID concerns into USAID programming.

Position Description:

Social Impact is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a study on Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) in Southeast Asia for USAID/RDMA. The Team Leader will be responsible for conducting research, developing technical deliverables, and overseeing and incorporating consultants’ input to the study. This is a remote, part-time consulting position with a period of performance from November 2021 to April 2022.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of research consultants and maintain clear and regular communication with HQ support staff.
  • Conduct an in-depth literature review on GID integration into Country Development Cooperation Strategies (CDCS) and regional programming.
  • Support integration of GID into project and activity design.
  • Develop GID training tools and materials.
  • Lead the development and finalization of project deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in international development, sociology, gender and social inclusion, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience conducting research studies, assessments, or evaluations on gender and inclusive development (GID) related topics, or eight years of experience with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Regional/Country Development Cooperation Strategy (R/CDCS) development and integration of gender and social inclusion principles into USAID programming.
  • Work experience in Southeast Asian countries, especially with USAID.
  • Experience coordinating analyses and leading teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required.
