Job Summary:

You will contribute to strategy development in Safe and Dignified Programming globally and provide technical advice and leadership in line with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) program quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices to Technical Advisors and Country Program (CP) teams to advance the delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable. Your expertise, advice and influence will significantly contribute to determining how effective, adaptive and innovative CRS’ Safe and Dignified Programming, including PSEA, approach is across the globe.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or Humanitarian Action
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in Safe and Dignified Programming/Protection Mainstreaming and PSEA, with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an international NGO, with three years overseas in multiple regions as a technical advisor and/or program manager with advanced protection mainstreaming actions deeply embedded.
  • Previous experience providing technical assistance and developing successful proposals for external donor funding is required.
  • Demonstrated application of technical principles and concepts in Safe and Dignified Programming, including PSEA. General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure proper cross-sectoral approach.
  • Experience in business development, project design and proposal development in Safe and Dignified Programming including technical writing.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation and training applying adult learning principles and practices.
  • Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, including applying data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation.
  • Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based and civil society Understanding of partnership principles.

Required Languages – Fluency in English required. Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic a plus.

Travel – Must be willing and able to travel in the region of 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.
