NORC has also worked extensively throughout sub-Saharan Africa, including in Ethiopia.

Responsibilities:

NORC is seeking a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Specialist for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Belize Quality of Education Assessment.

The goal of this project is to conduct assessments of key components of the education system in Belize to inform the final design and implementation arrangements for an Education Project aimed at addressing education-related constraints to economic growth.

The TVET Specialist will provide support in assessing the status of TVET quality in Belize. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Review TVET governance systems internationally and in the Central America region
  • Conduct a review of policies, practices, and instruments used in TVET instructor’s recruitment, hiring, and retention in Belize.
  • Conduct a needs assessment and quality assessment of TVET in Belize

Requirements:

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Specialist must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate degree or higher in Education, Vocational Education and Training, Human Resource Development, or a related field;
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in the TVET sector preferrable, including experience at a TVET school;
  • Experience conducting skills needs assessments and development or evaluation of education curricula preferred.
  • Experience working in the Caribbean or Central America preferred.
