BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
SARD provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and community-galvanizing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by the Syrian conflict, supporting more than 130,000 people annually. Our 100+ team members implement first-line emergency assistance, resilience, and early recovery support in the sectors of Food Security, Non-Food Items, Shelter, WASH, Protection, and Livelihood.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
1- Supporting the Earthquake response team in conducting damage needs assessments.

2- Conduct damage needs assessments in earthquake-affected areas.

3- Prepare drawings, designs, BOQs, cost estimates, and monitoring checklists.

4- Mobilize the contractors or workers for the rehabilitation works.

5- Participate in the quality control of rehabilitation materials.

6- Generate technical reports and certificates as needed

7- Execute technical tasks assigned by the program coordinator.

8- Ensure that rehabilitation progress adheres to the established schedule.

9- Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and public authorities, and provide regular reports to the program coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential

2 Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, or architecture.

3 Advanced proficiency in engineering software.

4 Registration and accreditation by one of Türkiye’s official chambers of engineers.

5 Strong skills in developing bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.

6 Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office and Outlook.

7 Turkish nationality and legal eligibility to work in Turkey.

8 Good understanding of INGO/NGO operations and humanitarian work.

9 Capability to work effectively within a team.
